We need to unplug.
I mean really unplug.
No screen time.
No calls.
Alone with all that life is.
And isn’t.
We weren’t meant to be “on” all the time.
We weren’t built to set up camp in the past.
We weren’t designed to be consumed by tomorrow.
We were built for today.
For this moment.
Right now.
Aligned with the people who matter the most.
Including self.
Most importantly self.
The past is a place of reference, not a place of residence.
We can find wisdom, good judgment, and guidance there.
A place to reflect and contemplate.
Tomorrow is a promise.
A blank canvas on which to dream.
To hope.
Today is where the magic happens.
A place to behold, to discover, to celebrate.
It is where life unfolds in beautiful and wonderful ways.
Connections deepen.
Relationships thrive.
It is in the little space called now that we find the blessings in our yesterdays and the gratitude and excitement of our tomorrows.
It is all we have.
And all that we need.
I want to encourage you this week to find time to reflect and contemplate your most important priorities.
To look deep within yourself and find that spark, that light that can illuminate the path for others.
Give yourself and those around you the gift of your true essence and presence in the moments you find yourself in.
I promise it’s worth it.

No matter how successful or accomplished you are, there is always another level. In business. In sports. In life. Your big, crazy, monster goal is someone else’s minimum standard to play the game. You make a million this year. Others might say that was a good month. Make a billion. Then there’s Elon, Bezos, and […]
People often approach me after an event. They say, “I want to do what you do!” My response is always the same. “Are you willing to do what I’ve done.” The truth is a lot of people want to BE something. An author. A speaker. A dancer. An artist. Wanting to BE something is great. […]
“If you judge people, you have no time to love them.” ~ Mother Teresa I love this quote. Not only because of the powerful truth it contains. But because of who wrote it. Mother Teresa. A saint. When the Catholic Church began the process to canonize her, she had many supporters. They recounted miracles and […]
